Will not shy away from taking difficult decisions, says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said his government will continue taking difficult decisions for the benefit of the country during his address in Mumbai on Saturday.
He had reached Mumbai for the foundation-laying ceremony of the Shiv Smarak, a towering statue in the Arabian Sea in the memory of Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji.
PM Modi will inaugurate Mumbai and Pune projects as well.
Here are the key statements made BY Modi in his address.
# This is a time of slowdown in the global economy (but)... India is being seen as a bright spot with growth projected to be highest in the world.
# Demonetisation is short-term pain for long-term gain.
# Will not shy away from taking difficult decisions if they are in country's interest.
# Govt will continue to follow the sound and prudent economic policies. We will not take decisions for short-term political point scoring.
